Accessibility innovation

What to expect from the Showcase Module

The Showcase Module began as an ambitious pilot, inviting the L&D and accessibility communities to explore the content and share feedback while the DALC Programme was being developed. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with 98% of respondents reporting that they were ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with the learning experience. Their insights helped us test, challenge and refine the programme, contributing to research involving more than 500 participants and feedback from over 120 learning practitioners and disabled people.

Participants praised this ‘gold standard of accessible learning design’ for being practical, interactive, informative and enjoyable. They also highlighted its clear navigation, plain language, thoughtful design, real-world examples, helpful feedback and wealth of practical ideas.

By exploring the Showcase Module, you will:

  • experience excellent accessible learning content first-hand
  • explore practical examples of inclusive learning design
  • see how accessibility guidance can be applied to digital learning
  • identify ideas to use in your own projects
  • gain insight into the wider guidance, activities and practical application covered in the full DALC Programme

What people say

Pilot participant feedback

Discover what learning practitioners and disabled people valued about the Showcase Module and how their feedback helped shape and refine the DALC Programme.

This is the best ‘do in your own time’ course I have ever done.

There was so much in the taster module to take into my own work as an eLearning developer.

I develop eLearning modules but usually hate completing them. I not only enjoyed this taster, I learned from it.

This is an excellent and much-needed learning resource.

The examples and practice exercises brought the rules to life in a practical way.

Seeing the topics in action made the content memorable and gave me confidence to apply it in my own learning resources.

I can see myself using this as a resource for years to come.

The course itself was a great example of how eLearning can be delivered in an accessible format.

I have the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies certification and I still learned new information.
